OBJECTIVE:

This microcontroller project is designed to search around the classroom (or any room) for a certain assigned target that will send back an infrared signal that was initially sent by the microcontroller.  Once the microcontroller has determined that this is the signal it is searching for, it will automatically position itself with the intent of hitting the target that is located in the same location that the device used to send the signal back is located.  It will use infrared technology to position itself straight and it will use sonic waves to determine the correct distance to adjust itself so that the projectile will strike the target accurately and effectively.  Once the microcontroller has adjusted itself properly, it will fire a iron projectile at the target. The projectile launcher uses the physics of a magnetic field by sending electricity through magnetic coils.  The electricity sent through the coils will create a magnetic field which will accelerate an iron projectile that is within the coils and hit the designated target.
